There's an ideological gap widening between Gen Z's young men and women. Half of young men also believe they face some kind of discrimination, and less than half identify as feminists. Sharing the data, journalist and lawyer Imani Gandy commented on the pattern, saying: "YouTube algorithms are turning young men into sociopaths." "Women are going to rise up and women are going to take over everything and feminism is awful and women hate us," Stein said. "If you're being rewarded by the algorithm and by the platform you're creating on, you're going to probably keep doing it," she said.

Michael Reaves/Getty ImagesThe two records in quick succession heightened the debate about how carbon-plated shoes – commonly referred to as “super shoes” – are rapidly changing the distance-running landscape. Today, they are worn by virtually all elite marathon runners, both for racing and for training, and by many casual runners, too. Tobias Schwartz/AFP/Getty ImagesThompson has other reservations about super shoes. “A lot of people say, well, people recover faster from training in the super shoes and therefore they can do more training, better training,” he added. “What I believe I’m seeing is that those who train all the time in super shoes will reduce their body’s ability to optimize biokinetic energy production.

For weeks, Mr. Trump had been peppering him with tips of fraud that, upon investigation by federal authorities, proved baseless. CNN —The White House is disgusted with Fox News — even more so than usual. Which is why, perhaps, the White House felt the need to formally respond, even though, typically, the Biden administration opts not to get in the mud with the network. Asked about the “dictator” charge on Wednesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre replied, “There are probably about 787 million things that I can say about this. Meanwhile, White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates went nuclear on the outlet for its story about the pride flag. No such statement was released about the story Fox News published about the supposed “controversial new transgender flag” the White House flew over the weekend for Pride Month.

CNN hosted a town hall with former President Donald Trump on Wednesday night. But CNN drew 3.3 million viewers, about what Tucker Carlson was drawing to his Fox News show. CNN's decision to host a town hall with former President Donald Trump was heavily criticized — both before and after the chaotic event took place Wednesday night — but still drew in 3.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen ratings. The town hall ratings were also good news for CNN boss Christ Licht, who has worked to attract Republicans to the network since taking over as CEO in 2022. CNN's ratings Wednesday night were significantly lower than several Trump town halls put on by Fox News in 2020, including one held by host Sean Hannity in June 2020 that drew 5.1 million viewers.
Elon Musk responded by saying anything misleading would be flagged by community notes. Tucker Carlson is moving his show from a traditional broadcasting outlet to Twitter where he will be subject to the social media platform's fact-checking force, Community Notes. The TV host's history of making untrue statements is well documented on third-party fact-checking sites such as Politifact and Snopes. Not every piece of misleading or false information on the platform is publicly marked by a Community Note. When enough people from different points of view rate a note as "helpful," the Community Note will appear, according to Twitter.
The New York lawsuit alleges that Fox News executives and producers denied her promotions and salary adjustments that would bring her in line with male colleagues. In another section of the lawsuit, Grossberg alleges a producer on Carlson's show repeatedly made antisemitic remarks. In her revised deposition, Grossberg answers that Bartiromo — one of the Fox News hosts who platformed Powell — has a "responsibility to push back against untrue statements with fact." "That did not happen with respect to Dominion-related reporting," Grossberg claims. "Ms. Grossberg ignored these communications and chose to file her complaint without taking any steps to protect those portions containing Fox's privileged information."
New York‘And I walk down the street and bop to the beat / With Lee on my leg and Adidas on my feet.” In 1986, Run-DMC released “My Adidas,” a love song to those sneakers. Not only was it a big hit but it won the rap group a million-dollar endorsement deal, a first in the world of hip-hop. Walk into any high-end shoe salon and half the real estate in the room belongs to designer sneakers: high-tops and low-tops, platformed, blingy and logoed. The subculture of hip-hop—which takes in MCs, DJs, VJs, break dancers, rappers and “aerosol” artists—is now thoroughly mainstream. “Fresh, Fly and Fabulous: Fifty Years of Hip Hop Style” at the Museum at FIT shows how.
On Tuesday, Tate tweeted at Thunberg, referring to his “33 cars” and their “enormous emissions.”Thunberg responded on Wednesday, making a joke about Tate’s genitals. After Tate’s arrest, posts quickly went viral, speculating that the pizza boxes in the video had been an important factor in locating Tate. But Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for DIICOT, refuted that the pizza boxes had anything to do with Tate’s arrest. On Twitter, many responded to Tate’s days-old Twitter feud with Thunberg with jokes about the interaction and Tate’s arrest. In the video, Afualo said she saw the news about Tate’s arrest.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk said Friday he was bringing back three high-profile accounts that had been suspended for breaking the service's rules, but he said he hadn't made a decision about former President Donald Trump's account. "Trump decision has not yet been made," Musk said in a tweet, as Twitter users braced for sweeping changes on the service that Musk bought three weeks ago. It may be only a matter of time before Musk reinstates Trump. Twitter permanently suspended Trump's account in January 2021, citing his role in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and the potential for more violence. It was not clear if Musk had made any changes to Twitter's policies that ban hate speech and harassment.
New Twitter leader Elon Musk suggested that people “de-platformed” will not be allowed back for at least weeks, appearing to rule out the return of figures like former President Donald Trump before the midterm elections. Musk tweeted about the process in response to a post from Twitter's head of safety and integrity, regarding attempts to manipulate conversations about the 2022 midterms, which will be held next week. “Twitter will not allow anyone who was de-platformed for violating Twitter rules back on platform until we have a clear process for doing so, which will take at least a few more weeks,” Musk tweeted early Wednesday. Musk said in May that he would allow Trump back on Twitter if he completed his plan to buy the company. “If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money!” he wrote.
New York CNN Business —Elon Musk indicated on Wednesday that the Twitter account of former President Donald Trump will not be restored ahead of the US midterm elections next week, answering one of the biggest unknowns following his takeover of the social media company. Prior to acquiring Twitter last week, Musk had pledged to roll back at least some of platform’s content moderation policies and do away with permanent account bans. He had also specifically said he would restore the personal account of Trump, who was banned from the platform shortly after the Jan. 6 insurrection at the US Capitol. Trump, who previously used Twitter to make news, attack critics and set the agenda in DC, has said he is glad Twitter is now in “sane hands” following the Musk takeover but claimed he would not be returning to the platform. Trump had tens of millions more followers on Twitter than he does on Truth Social.
Elon Musk said banned Twitter accounts will not be allowed back for "at least a few more weeks." This means that former president Donald Trump will not be on Twitter before the midterm elections. When podcast host Chris Stigall asked Trump about Twitter on Tuesday, Trump promoted Truth Social, saying he likes the way it works better. Trump had 35 million followers on Facebook, which suspended him but could lift the suspension as soon as January. Trump said Truth Social is smarter, and friendlier but also can be "very nasty, you know — especially if they get against you a little bit.
Trump's Save America PAC released a photo showing the former president meeting with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on January 28. It added: "President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People." Millions of Trump supporters would likely follow Trump to a new political party — if he chose to break away from the Republican Party. Afterward, McCarthy predicted intraparty peace, saying in a statement: "President Trump committed to helping elect Republicans in the House and Senate in 2022." "President Trump has agreed to work with Leader McCarthy on helping the Republican Party to become a majority in the House."
